I remember watching a young Frank Nouble in an fa cup game against Arsenal looked like a poor man's Emile Heskey, plenty of pace and power and bullied the two centre halves that day but simply couldn't finish.
Moved onto Colchester I believe.

I also vaguely remember Paul Kelly who was around about the same time as Eamon Dolan.

Played full back for one match in the late 80s or early 90s never to be seen again. Was apparently a local lad but no one I know had ever heard of him. I'm starting to believe he was either a ghost, or a figment of my imagination.

I think you mean George Cowie.
There's a George Cowley of the Cowley brothers.
And George Cowley of The Professionals fame.

Everald La Ronde was captain of the 1981 FA Youth Cup team that beat Tottenham in the final. For that alone,he is a LEGEND.

Wasn't there a young American lad signed in the centre circle at Upton Park about 20 odd years ago. Seem to recall a lot of fuss about it... Next Joe Cole etc...

Terry Dixon is a yes

Paulo Futre a no

Got to be someone kind of unheard of but marketed as exciting, they have to hang around for a while and do nothing and then have to disappear into obscurity but for some reason leave an permanent mark on your memory.

Gavin Holligan yes
